As a die-hard fan of McDonald’s delicious menu since my childhood, I still remember when I heard the news of their new vegetarian menu item launch, The Veggie Dippers Happy Meal, I was extremely excited. I adamantly wanted to try it. And when I first tasted it, I instantly became a fan of it.

The crisp and crunchy texture with flavorful fillings were to die for. The blended taste of red pepper and sundried tomato pesto was something that had made me a fan of this vegetarian meal.

My happiness doubled when my mother said that feel free to choose the side add-ons according to your choice. I was a bit confused because they were offering all of my favorites as the option. The options included vegetable bag, fruit bag or fries. I then decided to have a small serving of fries.

At McDonald’s they love to give you options in everything, like in their happy meal menu you get to choose from different options like their tasty and delicious cheeseburger is also my favorite and whenever I go there I always get confused between the burger and veggie happy meal. Things You May Need:

  • Potatoes cooked and sliced 250 gm
  • Shredded carrots ½ cup
  • Chopped peas ½ cup
  • Chopped broccoli ½ cup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Coating:

  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • Salt and pepper ½ tsp
  • Oregano a pinch
  • Egg 1 OR dairy free plain yogurt

Cooking & preparation

  • Mix all veggies in a food processor, until you get a thick paste.
  • Refrigerate for 2 hours to make the dough smoother to work with.
  • Grease your hands and shape the dippers.
  • Transfer to a greased pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Season the rice flour with salt and pepper, also add oregano or mix herbs. 
  • Whisk the egg.
  • Dip each veggie dipper into egg or dairy free yogurt and then into rice flour.
  • Preheat the oven at 350 degrees.
  • Bake for 18 minutes in a preheated oven.

Serving suggestion
