It’s been a while since I was missing my most favorite garlic mayo chicken wrap, which I had a years back with my friend. Although it was made of very few ingredients, yet the taste and rich flavor made it my go to meal.

This wrap had merely cost me about £1.99. And is available at McDonald’s every day of the week with many other deals.

These wraps were reintroduced by McDonald’s as part of their deal of the day offers back in summer of 2022.

I had tried the recipe at home and can assure you that if you make these wraps at home it would be tastier and cost much less than its original price.

Here is the recipe that i had tried.

Recipe For The Famous Garlic Mayo Chicken Wrap By McDonald’s

For The Chicken:

Chicken breast 1-2 medium sized.

Olive oil 3-4 Tbsp.

Garlic powder 1-2 tsp.

Paprika 1-2 tsp.

For Garlic Mayo:

Mayonnaise 1 cup

Garlic finely chopped 7-8 cloves.

Lemon juice 2 Tbsp.

Black pepper ½ tsp.

Other Ingredients:

Whole wheat tortillas 2-3. 

Fresh lettuce leaves 2-3. 

Tomatoes 1 ripe tomato sliced in thin rounders.

Salt 1 tsp.

How To Cook

  1. Marinate the chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper, by carefully adding all the condiments.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan with medium heat.
  3. Place the marinated chicken into the pre-heated oil and let it fully cook for 20 minutes, then turn off the heat.
  4. If you want to have grilled chicken, then after it is cooked, add some butter into the pan and cook prepared chicken for 10 minutes on both sides. Your grilled chicken is ready.
  5. You can also have it baked or steamed. For baking, line up a baking tray with parchment paper, drizzle some oil and add chicken pieces on to the tray. 
  6. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
  7. Pop it in a preheated oven and let it cook on 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Carefully flip the side in between.
  8. You can also have steamed chicken for a healthier option.
  9. Let it cool down.
  10. Cut the chicken into thin strips.

Mix all the above mentioned ingredients into one bowl and mix well until well combined.

Final Assembling

  1. Warm the tortillas in a pan or in the microwave.
  2. Spread generously the prepared garlic mayo sauce over the warm tortillas.
  3. Layer the chicken strips, lettuce and tomatoes on top of the mayo garlic sauce.
  4. Roll the wraps tightly to give them a final look.

Serving suggestion

You can serve these wraps warm with french fries, a green salad or with sliced crunchy cucumber or any dip of your choice. For a more delectable experience, have this dip with a drink of your choice.
