Although there are many wraps that are being served at McDonald’s breakfast menu , I am specifically a fan of the sriracha wrap and The caesar and bacon chicken wrap.

These two wraps bring nostalgic memories in my mind whenever I opt to choose anyone from them. When I was a child I sometimes used to nag my parents to have these wraps. Now, I pair these wraps along with my most favorite drink and that is their latte coffee. This helps me in satisfying my sweet tooth cravings.

Do You Know !

  • McDonald’s sriracha wrap was first introduced in 2006, and at first it was available with crispy chicken and ranch sauce.
  • McDonald’s often introduces limited selling items, after a while they stop selling those items. Therefore, this sparks a sense of urgency to try them as it can be discontinued anytime.

McDonald’s offers customization options for its customers. Whether you want extra spiciness or want to omit something, you can choose ingredients as per your preferences.

  • Marination: marinate your chicken strips to ensure that all the flavors of sauces and herbs had been infused profusely, making the chicken extra rich and tasty.
  • Use fresh vegetables: make sure you use fresh veggies so that the crunchiness gives an extra kick to the flavor.
  •  Balance: balance the level of spiciness so that you can enjoy the wrap. You can add a few drops of honey to the sriracha sauce to get a perfect level of spiciness.
  • Warm tortillas: make your tortillas warm on a toaster for that added crunchy flavor.
  • Incorporate tangy flavors: by adding a few drops of fresh lime juice would enhance the flavor of your wrap, making it more flavorful.
  • Condiments: condiments are considered as an essential element to upgrade the taste of your dish, but if you add them with care. Because, in other cases, it could also spoil the taste of the dish, if added without caution.

Preparation Method

Preparation Of Sauce

Mix all the ingredients, whisk well and store in an airtight clean bottle or container for up to one month.

Chicken preparation

Cut the chicken into strips.

Place all the chicken pieces in a ziplock bag and add lemon juice, oregano , black pepper, paprika and salt. Close the bag and shake well to marinade the chicken well. Refrigerate it for an hour or two.

Now grill, bake or steam the chicken as per your choice of taste you want in your sriracha wrap McDonald’s

I like my chicken grilled so I simply put it in a fry pan and added butter to it.  Leave it to simmer on medium flame for 20 minutes. And my grilled chicken strips were ready. To bake, you just need to sprinkle some olive oil on a baking tray and place your chicken strips onto it. Then bake them at moderate temperature for 15- 20 minutes. Your strips are ready to use.

Vegetable Preparation

Wash and clean all the vegetables thoroughly.

Let them air dry.

Now, cut the onions and tomatoes into circles, shred lettuce and cut cucumber into thin slices. At this stage you can add any vegetable that you want to add, in your wrap of the day, above mentioned were the vegetables that i had used.

You can also add bell peppers, cut in thin strips or cabbage shredded finely. Also, thin strips of carrot can also be added.

In short, you can add any vegetables, as per your choice.

Final Assembling

If you want extra crunchiness in your wrap then toast your tortilla wrap on a toaster. Spread mayonnaise on the wrap, place chicken strips. Now the game changer sriracha sauce, add the sauce over the chicken.

Now add vegetables and drizzle some mustard sauce. At this stage you can add cheese slices, if you want to have your wrap extra gooey.

Now roll the wrap and have it with french fries or salad and a favorite drink of yours.

If you want to have it warm, you can place it on a preheated fry pan for 2-3 minutes.

An Overlook into the idea of recipe

As I mentioned that my love for McDonald’s sriracha wrap was undefiable and its craving had driven me nuts. The fierceness of its signature sauce and added hotness with juicy tender chicken and the crunchiness of lettuce, cucumber and fresh onions was something that my taste buds were missing and I was driving crazy.

Since I was going nuts I had searched here and there and finally been able to find a recipe that almost imitates the taste and hotness of the Sriracha McDonald’s. At first, I was reluctant to try it but then I thought why not give it a try and Voila. I hit the jackpot.

There are some ingredients that may contain allergens like wheat gluten and celery. The best part of making my favorite Maccie chicken wraps at home is that it costs less than the brand ones as well as it is healthy as I only add good quality ingredients.

When I had made a McDonald’s wrap meal I was skeptical whether it would taste the same as the one I was fond of or would there be a difference but to my uttermost surprise it turned out to be the same. With a few simple steps and some available at home basic ingredients I made that wrap and to be honest when something is so tasty and yummy.

I recommend that you try these wraps and for added taste and deliciousness serve and have them while they are being warm and you would find the taste to die for.
