I still remember how excited I was when I heard the launching news of A new meal by McDonald’s and my excitement doubled when I came to know that it is Fish finger happy meal that is being inaugurated.

I am an avid fan of seafood and love to try new food items that have incorporated seafood into it. And I would not hesitate to mention that there is nobody of my age group who can love McDonald’s happy meal as much as I do. 

What else could be more fun and exciting than the combination of two of my most favorite food items, i.e seafood and mcdonald’s. I was among the first one’s who went and tried these crispy chunky fish fingers along with my favorite orange juice and a bag of McD’s signature fries.

Before my introduction with fish fingers, their alluring  veggie dippers were my love. While my brother always wanted to have something from McDonald’s big flavor wraps.

My association with McDonald’s has been long. I remember being in love with the beautiful arch of McD, since I was young.

With some recipes I got the taste but not the crunchy texture while some might give you texture and not the flavor. But the recipe I am mentioning below is the recipe that would help you make finger fish that taste and look almost the same as McDonald’s.

Ingredients

  • Vinegar 3 Tbsp
  • Fish boneless 800 gm
  • Water As required
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli Powder 1 Tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 Tsp
  • Orange food color (optional)
  • Lemon Juice 1 Tbsp
  • Vinegar 2 Tbsp
  • Flour 3 Tbsp
  • CornFlour 1 and ½ Tbsp
  • Eggs 2
  • Bread Crumbs As Required
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

  • Soak fish filet for 5 minutes in water and vinegar.
  • Drain all the excess water.
  • Sprinkle some salt, pinch of food color and lemon juice onto the fish.
  • Rub and Mix all the spices evenly onto it.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour and cornflour, add salt and red chilli water, now add eggs into it to make a smooth batter.
  • Dip all the pieces into the batter.
  • Leave for ½ an hour.
  • Coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Deep fry in preheated oil, till golden brown.

Serving suggestion

You may serve it with condiments like ketchup or hot sauce , tag some fresh fruits or a plate full of fries to go with it.
